Langs de Westerdreef, in het noorden van het park, ligt het Voedselbos Park Uithof. Het 3,5 hectare grote parkdeel, dat tussen de singelgracht en de Westerdreef ligt, wordt aan twee zijden ontsloten door doorlopende fietspaden. Het voedselbos is nu een mix van oudere parkbomen en fruit-en notenbomen. Ook staan er veel besdragende struiken en kruiden. Het voedselbos wordt de komende jaren nog verder uitgebreid.
Maak een wandeling door het zo mooie Voedselbos in park Uithof in het hart van Almere Haven. Hoor het liefdevolle verhaal van de vrijwilligers. Wat is het onderhoudsplan? Hoeveel werk is dat? Hoe veel sfeerplekjes kan je op deze 3,5 hectare ontdekken? Willen wij de natuur zijn gang laten gaan? Wat groeit hier goed? Wat groeit hier slecht? Hoe betrekken wij omwonenden, de kinderen, de scholen, Jeugdland, de Gemeente. En wat zijn onze toekomstbeelden?

Along Westerdreef, in the north of the park, lies the Park Uithof food forest. The 3.5 hectare park section, which lies between the canal and Westerdreef, is accessed on two sides by continuous cycle paths. The food forest is now a mix of older park trees and fruit and nut trees. There are also many berry-bearing shrubs and herbs. The food forest will be further expanded in the coming years.
