Op deze dag zijn er twee activiteiten bij het Van Eesteren Museum:
Kunstenaar Heidi Vogels werkt aan een film over de verdwijnende tuinen in de voormalige Marokkaans koningsstad Fez, genaamd Gardens of Fez.
Kunstenaar Natascha Hagenbeek vertelt over de ontstaansgeschiedenis van ‘I can change the world with my two hands’. Een ecologisch kunstproject, waarin zij onderzoekt hoe lokale gemeenschappen kunnen bijdragen aan de transformatie naar een gezonde, duurzame stad. Zo stimuleert zij burgers om zelf bij te dragen aan een gezondere leefomgeving.

Filmvertoning Gardens of Fez
Kunstenaar Heidi Vogels toont in het Van Eesteren Museum haar korte film Things Unseen(2022). De korte film is onderdeel van het langlopende filmproject Gardens of Fez (2012 – heden). Heidi bezocht Fez regelmatig om filmopnames te maken van de verdwijnende tuinen in Fez en samen te werken met Rajee Drissi die in Fez opgroeide, woont en met wie zij een vriendschap ontwikkelde. Het zijn de verhalen en herinneringen van Rajae en andere protagonisten waarin een beeld ontstaat van geschiedenis en cultuur van de stad.
Tijdens de Open Groen Dag toont Vogels haar korte film (15 min) in het Van Eesteren Museum. De filmvertoning vindt plaats om 13.00, 14.00 en 15.00 uur. Daarna volgt er een gesprek met de kunstenaar over de film. Kom, schuif aan en praat mee.

On this day there are two activities at the Van Eesteren Museum
Artist Heidi Vogels is working on a film about the disappearing gardens in the former Moroccan royal city of Fez, called Gardens of Fez.
Artist Natascha Hagenbeek talks about the genesis of ‘I can change the world with my two hands’. An ecological art project, in which she examines how local communities can contribute to the transformation to a healthy, sustainable city. Artist Heidi Vogels shows her short film Things Unseen(2022) in the Van Eesteren Museum. The short film is part of the long-term film project Gardens of Fez (2012 – present). Heidi regularly visited Fez to make film recordings of the disappearing gardens in Fez and to work with Rajee Drissi who grew up in Fez, lives there and with whom she developed a friendship. It is the stories and memories of Rajae and other protagonists that create an image of the city’s history and culture.
During the Open Green Day, Vogels will show her short film (15 min) in the Van Eesteren Museum. The film screening takes place at 13.00, 14.00 and 15.00 hours. This will be followed by a discussion with the artist about the film. Come, sit down and join the conversation.
