Garden safari in MidWest
MidWest is a village house in the city, with a wild indigenous city garden in the middle of the Baarsjes. Listen to the story of our gardens in our Garden Safari. And find out more about MidWest’s Big Five, the willow trees in the garden and our low cost & low tech’ rainwater solutions.
There will also be an exhibition of climate posters by pupils of the Sint-Jan school. And a presentation of the neighbourhood compost project From Waste to Harvest. There is a continuous explanation about the compost tumblers, you can meet a ‘compostino’, sign up and ask questions.
MidWest is open from 9 am to 6 pm.
The gardens are wheelchair accessible. Our canteen will be open for drinks, cake, toasts and lunch.
For the Garden Safari Audio Tour you will need a mobile phone with a headset or earphones (we also have some available for loan).
